NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the C497 The Street from its junction with U76094 Cow Lane for a distance of 500 metres south eastwards in the PARISH OF THARSTON AND HAPTON because of NCC works to install a new carrier drain.
The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 3rd February 2020 to 30th March 2020 for the duration of the works, expected to be 56 days within the period.
Alternative route is via: The Street, Fundenhall Road, Hapton Road, B1113 The Turnpike/ Norwich Road/ Main Road/ Mulbarton Road, A140 Ipswich Road/ Ipswich Road Southern Bypass Roundabout/ Ipswich Road/ Norwich Road/ Ipswich Road, Bungay Road, Low Tharston Road (Newton Flotman/ Bracon Ash/ Mulbarton/ Caistor St. Edmund and Bixley/ Tharston and Hapton/ Swainsthorpe/ Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall/ Stoke Holy Cross/ Tasburgh/ Long Stratton/ Swardeston/ Keswick and Intwood/ Wreningham/ Saxlingham Nethergate).
(If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
