Wet wipes causes blockage in sewage pipes at bottom of Alan Avenue

On 5th May there was a blockage in the sewerage pipework in the Anglia Water mains at the bottom of Alan Avenue. The blockage was caused by the build up of wet wipes which had been flushed down the toilet in houses in the avenue. This blockage led to a spillage of waste water into the back garden of Holland House Flordon Road.

Please could residents of Alan Avenue not deposit wet wipes of any type down the toilet so that there is not a repeat of this problem.
